PLANTRONICS HUB LINUX INSTALL
Naturally the Hub software doesn't seem to have any preference to disable it, the naming isn't very clear, the install location is odd and in turn there is no uninstaller and deleting the main application doesn't get rid of the daemon. Somewhat niche but I know there are a certain number of Achaians here who have various bits of Plantronics kit, it's long been a standard recommendation for BT headsets in general. Funktioner: - Plantronics Voyager 5200 Bluetooth headset - vær altid tilgængelig, selv når du er på farten - En indbygget Alexa assistent for lettere opkaldskontrol, tjek af skema m.m. Pretty wild! Haven't seen a leak like that in a while, and this is an odd candidate. Med en enkel opladning vil Plantronics Voyager 5200 Bluetooth headset give op til 7 timers uafbrudt taletid, hvilket er mere end nok til en lang rejse. I killed it and waited for launchd to reinitialize it, then watched it climb steadily back up, sucking up something like 10 megs every minute or two. Things seemed to be getting pokier then expected on my system given the level of activity, so I pulled up Activity Monitor, and while nothing was using significant CPU the SpokesUpdateService daemon was sucking up 18 GB of real memory. But apparently part of that install is an always running background updater in the system context (via in /Library/LaunchDaemons) called the SpokesUpdateService (/usr/local/libexec/SpokesUpdateService). I installed the Plantronics Hub a few weeks back, then forgot about it since I didn't have the application itself running. I have a Plantronics BT headset and after finally getting moved to 10.13 (from 10.8 ) I decided to go and update the firmware. Posting this here since I don't actually see this turning up anywhere else on the web at all.
